Let's start our adventure with a visit to Peschiera Maraglio

Peschiera Maraglio is a small village of Monte Isola on Lake Iseo, reachable in just a few minutes by ferry. As soon as we land, we will be catapulted into another historical moment that does not know the frenzy and chaos of cities, but is immersed in an atmosphere marked by the rhythm and sounds of a fishing village.

The sixteenth-century houses are the perfect setting for a walk through the narrow streets, the small paved streets and under the ancient arches that lead us to the church of San Michele Arcangelo. The Porto district is worth a visit, the heart of the fishing tradition of the village which over the years has become a center for the production of fishing nets and for the construction of the traditional wooden boats typical of Lake Iseo.

A bite for lunch

Lake fish lovers cannot miss the opportunity to have lunch at the La Foresta restaurant. We continue our discovery of naturalistic Lombardy with a walk suitable for the whole family in a luxuriant forest near the mountain village, Zone. What we will find is not a path among ordinary vegetation, but a real dive into a fairy tale populated by gnomes, fairies and fantastic creatures!

The Wood of the Gnomes of Zone was created by "Rosso", a skilled local artist specialized in wood carving, who from 1998 onwards gave new life to the forest thanks to its picturesque sculpted inhabitants.
Are you ready to meet gnomes, goblins, animals of all kinds and even dragons? Along the way inside the enchanted forest you will come across each of them, all rigorously made of wood, often made from old trunks!

Finally dinner

Arrived in the evening, we decide to detach ourselves from the naturalistic atmospheres of the province to immerse ourselves right in the heart of Brescia where Il Classico restaurant awaits us with its beautiful 17th century location, between flair and elegance.
The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere and is open for its famous aperitif made of social food and gourmet sandwiches, and an à la carte menu full of proposals from the Brescian tradition and more fanciful and innovative recipes.

Our day out of town led us along a dynamic and fun nature trail for the whole family, starting from a historic village with centuries-old charm and artisan tradition. An eccentric lunch on the train is what you need to enjoy the most beautiful views of Lombardy and discover the area thanks to the unique flavors of local products; and we are all a bit like children again, walking between fairy tale and reality in a wood populated by incredible wooden creatures.
